Jeans and their cost

What is something that we wear almost every other day that can go with just about any type of shirt? Jeans are worn constantly in life. From the time we are born to the present, we wear jeans constantly. Maybe not when we have to dress up for an interview or for a dance at school but jeans are a main part of our everyday clothing. Jeans come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and washes. We can get bright pink skinny jeans or stonewash boyfriend jeans. But the issue with our jeans is how much we pay for them.

Think about the last time you bought a pair of jeans. How much did it cost you? Twenty dollars, fifty dollars, or maybe even one hundred dollars or more. Why are we paying that much for jeans? They may be something we wear everyday but when you walk into a store like the Buckle, you need to be prepared to pay big money for a pair of pants.

There are many different brands of jeans in this world but everyone wants the ones that are in style, the pair that cost the most you know are the best. I mean, look at Rock Revival jeans, those range from one hundred to about two hundred dollars a pair. Yes, they are really cute and comfy for a pair of jeans. Yes, I own one pair but why are we paying that much for one stinking pair of jeans. It’s not like they are sewed with gold threading or the rhinestones on them are actually diamonds but we still pay the price.

Same goes for Miss Me jeans, again they are adorable, I do not own a pair of them but they cost about one hundred dollars a pair. We are wasting money on jeans that shouldn’t cost that much. The government wonders why we are all broke, it’s because we pay so much to try and look good and fit in with the crowd. I love jeans as much as the next girl but who can afford to pay for them anymore. Between paying for college and gas, who has a couple hundred dollars to spare for a pair of jeans or two.

I am not just talking about Buckle jeans either, there are jeans from Hollister, Maurices, Abercrombie & Fitch, and even Vanity. They cost so much and what are we paying for? You know the denim didn’t cost that much nor did the rhinestones that they put on it. Jeans are an essential for our outfits but they shouldn’t cost the amount that we pay for them.Yes, I get that these jeans are cute and I love them too, most girls own one pair of at each of the jeans pictured here which is good style choice, but that's just wasted money. Why do jeans have to be so expensive, I just don't get it.

  1. I don't get it either! It makes me mad that jeans are so expensive. I like when you say that the jeans don't have gold threading. It's true, if the jeans are that expensive they should have gold threading! I've always wanted a pair of Buckle jeans but they are way too expensive. I bought a pair from Maurices instead, but that wasn't cheap either.

    1. I totally agree. I buy most of my jeans from Maurice's but they aren't cheap either. I love Buckle jeans but I only own one pair becuase I can't get myself to pay that much for a pair of jeans. It's too much money.

  2. I love this post! Honestly, my favorite type of clothing to shop for is jeans. I really do hate that they are so darn expensive though. All of my jeans I get from Maurices, and the last time I was there I spent well over one hundred bucks, it sucks. So I try to go when they have deals!
