Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Ok readers, I don’t know if any of you watch this but I do. However, I don’t watch it for the half naked girls walking around in bras and underwear. Mostly, I watch it to see what the designers came up with for this year. If you haven’t guessed it, yes I am talking about the Victoria’s Secret fashion show that is coming up. I watch it every year when it is aired on television. I just love to see what the designers come up with to make it better than last year. 

This year the fashion show is on Tuesday, December 9^th and 10PM. I usually record it because of the fact that I love sleep and occasionally choose sleep over fashion. This year’s show is going to be filmed in London. This show is seen in countries around the world. There are musical guests that perform while the angels are walking the runway.

Anyways, getting back to the fashion part of this since this is supposed to be a fashion blog, I just get amazed by the designs that are made. It is so creative what the designers can do with a bra and underwear. They make it look so awesome and of course we are all jealous of how skinny these models are. 

I mean look at this image in particular. This girl is in a bra and underwear which is cute but then they added wings made out of flowers. I am sure that is heavy on her shoulders but it look awesome. Also, they made a little skirt out of green fabric to make it look like leaves on a stem. How creative is that? I would have never thought of that.

Another one that stood out to me is this one of a ring leader. She is in a black bra and a black higher wasted underwear then then they take these high calf boots with embellishments to make her look taller. Then they add on a ringmaster coat and a top hat. The coat drags and has almost a train. This gives her a sexy look but doesn’t take away the illusion that she is a ring leader. 

I’ll admit that I am a girl who is all about the sparkles, so obviously I am all about the Victoria’s Secret million dollar bras. They get so creative with them every year. My favorite is still last year’s bra. The color is perfect and they have that huge gem hanging down a little from the bra. It is perfect, but even the one’s this year are amazing. I give those designers a lot of credit for what they accomplish yearly.  

Winter

With it getting colder outside, which I hate with a passion, people are starting to wear more clothes. THANK GOD! I don’t know about the rest of you but it is a pet peeve of mine to see girls in winter, wearing a little pencil skirt without even tights and then they tell you they are freezing. Well, duh! Of course you are freezing, you are wearing nothing to keep yourself warm. Don’t get me wrong, I am sure guys love seeing that, but I think it is just stupid. If you want to dress cute in the winter there are good ways to do this. First off, if you want to wear a dress or skirt in the winter, please wear a pair of tights. I mean come on people, you live in Michigan, it’s going to get cold outside so put something on your legs to keep you kind of warm. In the winter I always go for the wool tights just because they are thicker and keep your legs warmer. However, you could always go for a pair of leggings and put a pair of cute stylish boots on and nobody would know you are wearing leggings. It would just look like tights. Secondly, get yourself a coat and where it. Yes your little tiny Columbia jacket is cute, I agree but again it’s winter and you live in Michigan. Nobody cares what your coat looks like, it is there to keep you warm. Yes, there are more fashionable coats out there and some people do pay attention to them but the only reason we really wear them is to keep us warm. Finally, if you want to wear your heels, that is your decision but be smart about it. Take your heels with you but put on your boots first and then when you get to the place you are going then put your boots on. This way, if something happens like you go into a ditch or something, you have warm boots on to keep your feet warm, especially if you have to walk somewhere. I understand that those boots may not go with your outfit but please be smart enough to know that warmth is better than fashionable. So, people, it’s cold outside. Sorry for the rant but some people are just not smart when it comes to Michigan winters. It’s almost as if they have no idea what to expect even though they happen every year. Just be safe and remember warmth before cuteness in the winter.

Easy Hair Dos

I don’t know about the rest of you but I am running out of things to talk about fashion wise. So, instead of the usual clothes that I talk about, I figured I would talk about hair.  When you think about it, which is something that is a part of our daily lives. We are always doing something with it, even just brushing it. Sometimes, it’s your hair that makes the outfit you are wearing. I just thought I would give you some easy hair styles that can look classy or casual.

My favorite thing to do with my hair which is a pain to do anything with it to throw it up into a bun. I have really thick hair with a lot of layers so it used to take forever to throw my hair in a bun, now I have the perfect hair piece that helps. I have what is called a “Donut.” You can buy these at Claire’s or just about any place that carries hair supplies. They come in all different shades to match hair color but they also come in different sizes. I got the biggest donut because of my hair length and thickness. All you have to do is throw your hair back into a ponytail, then pull the donut through the ponytail. Take the hair and press it around the donut so it is covered completely. Pull another ponytail holder over the hair and donut to hold the hair in place. Then wrap the remaining hair around the bun all in the same direction, pin in place and spray. You are done. 


If you have short hair and want to make it look longer, I suggest trying this out. It is called the Illusional Crazy Long Many Ponytail. You will want to separate your hair into two parts. A high ponytail on the top of your head and a lower ponytail near the middle of the back of the head. Pull the top ponytail over the lower ponytail and you have an illusion of longer hair. 




The final hairstyle I will explain is another quick and easy cute hairstyle. It is called the Two-bobby-pin front twist. All you need to do is take your bangs and twist them, then move them to one side of your head. Place one bobby pin in verticals then place the second bobby pin in toward the twist kind of like putting a pen cap on a pen. Then voila! You have a cute simple hairstyle.
